23rd Birthday

Yesterday was my special day.. I wish that I could make my day longer in order to enjoy it the fullest.. Haha..

My friends organised this event specially for me..(touching) Although it was not a big party, I still enjoyed it with them. Manhattan Fish Market was the chosen place. The reason they chose this restaurant, I guess it is because of my name-Sook Yee (In Cantonese). Haha.. The best part was all the staff in the restaurant kept mentioning my name. Sounded like I'm the famous. Haha.. Thus, they sang birthday song.

Inception was our chosen movie since I watched Twilight-Elipse. The movie is quite different from the usual one. Dreaming could turn out as real as reality. It made you believe it. The main actor is Leonardo Di Caprio.

After dinner, the time show at 9pm. Yet my kai gor insisted to bring us to I-City, Klang. By the time we reach there, it was around 10pm. I-City is famous of colourful lightings. It is one of the attraction area for either local or foreign tourist. Families would love to bring their children to watch this beautiful night decoration such as Christmas and Chinese New Year, while youngster like us, love to have photo shootings non-stop. Haha..

I reached home at 11.50pm. Another 10 minutes would be another new day. Hopefully this coming new days would change my life become better. Once again, thank you very much to my family and friends.

Farewell Dinner To My Senior

For the very first time, I went out dinner with my colleagues after working last Wednesday (7th July). This event only allowed ladies to take part. Haha.. For guys, they went hiking at Kota Kinabalu. My lady boss suggested the place called, "Yuen Steamboat" which is located at Sunway.

I heard that their specialty is chicken wings. At first, I didn't believe that the container of chicken wings would be empty once the staff place it on the table. Yes, it was. Everyone would try to grab as much as possible. It was like hungry wolf trying to eat as much as possible.

On the table, there were two types of soup-origin and tomyam. It was like a buffet style whereby you could take as much as possible. But...The management will charge the leftover food for more than 5kg (not very sure). The price is reasonable and food is fine.

We had a photo session especially with my senior, Charine who she is resigned.

Birthday Celebration To Ah Gor

Last year I organised a birthday celebration for Ah Gor so would be this year too. A few of us joined the event-Qy, Ky, Cf and ST.

St suggested the place called Ninja Jones. It was located at North Point of Mid Valley. The restaurant was quite ambiance with Japanese Decoration. However, they only open the restaurant for certain hours. The food is a little different from the normal dishes in Sushi King and Sushi Zanmai.

We were lucky to have a photo shooting at the stage of Mid Valley whereby they're promoting Toy Story 3. This is because St's sister is the organiser of the event. Vw and Yk were working there and that day was their last day.

After that we watched Karate Kid. Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith were the actors in the movie. Jaden Smith is a talent actor due to his father, Will Smith. Haha...

Prayer for my mum

In these days when I think about my mum, I'm worried. There are many things could be happened but I wish it won't be.

As previous post, I mentioned about the operation. It has to delay in next two months due to her health condition. The result for Lung and Heart were not good. I cant describe deeper as I afraid my tears dropping.

God, I seek your help for my mum. Pls heal her heart and lung as she need to under-go the operation. Thank you very much. Amen.

Exam days - Tax and Finance Management

On 7th June was my Tax exam. I just realised that my seat number is 164 (In Cantonese-means die along). Once I received my question paper, I flicked through the paper.

Normally I don't read the 1st question as it is a long story. So I looked at other pages. Stamp Duty, Share Option, Venture Company and Financing Method are the option questions. I chose Stamp Duty and Financing Method as I didn't study Venture Company.

I was happy to see the question on Pioneer Status and I started it as my 1st question. When I started, I messed up my computation. CAPEX is confusing me!! Even though it sounded easy but not at all.

So, I tried others first. Some know (70%).. some just guessing (30%).. After doing it, I went to finish off the beginning.

Hopefully I can pass this round as this is my 3rd attempt.. I keep my finger crossed. *** Studying three times for the same subject is torturing. =(

Today (10th June) is my Finance Management. This is my 1st attempt. Among all, I only have confidence on one question-netting. Most are computations. For theory, I fried it up.

So... Results will review out in Aug.. Can't say too much.. PASS is my only HOPE...

Worries.. Worries.. Worries..

I haven’t been sleeping well these days. I could say some matters are mumbling inside my thoughts when I tried to close my eyes. There are three matters occurred at the same time.

As you know, the ACCA exam days are getting closer and I’m trying to cover all my syllabus. Memorizing Tax facts and complicated of calculation and tough theory from Finance Management. All these are going to crash my head. =(

Secondly is my mum’s health is not good. She suffers back pain for a long period and couldn’t walk well. Doctor said that her bone's structure is interesting (means they have not come across with this special case). This might due to osteoporosis and her old "sickness". She need to go through the operation which is on 16th June. Doctor stated that 70% of success in this operation. It sounded like not so risky but my mum has the old sickness. What if the outcome turned out to be another way, she could not walk anymore... Haiz... I miss the days when my mum and I always go shopping together at the mall. I have to pray hard for my mum. Hopefully she can go through the operation.

Lastly is about my job. Handling new account is supposed a good news for me but it’s also sad that my senior is resigned from this company. Hopefully I can learn as much as possible.

What can I do to release my worries? EXAM..FAMILY..JOB… 3 came at one time.

Getting pressure for ACCA exam

ACCA exam is getting closer by each day.. Countdown from the date.. I only have less than 2 months.. It sounds scary to me as I lack of confident to sit for these 2 papers.. I wish something can push me harder, something to inspire me to study well.

After using up my energy in my work, I don't have the concentrated mind to study so thinking of doing revision in the morning. It works a bit but not much. I always feel sleepy and tired..

My mum started nagging me to study.. She says "No more outing.. No more TV.." -meaning I'm being grounded in the house for these two months.. House rules are implemented..!!

She also suggested to take one month leave to do my revision. But does a company approve your leave?! --> unless submit your resignation letter..

Walao.. what a huge pressure..

For my future, I know that passing ACCA is important. So what should I do? --> "Add Oil" and think about my future.. I have to tell myself, "I can DO IT..."
