It's hard to say Goodbye

I'm having hard feelings.. It like a stone put on my heart.. I wish I could tell them.. Letting them know about it would probably a surprise news. Monday is D-Day and wish that day won't come by.

Wondering why I sounded so glommy? There was an interview yesterday and it went well. Just that the new co. wanted to fill up the vacancy immediately as the person will be leaving at the end of this month. That means I have to submit my resignation by next Monday and giving 24 hours notification. The new job is involving in tourism industry and I could gain more knowledge and exposure to working environment. For salary wise, it considered quite attractive. Although they agree to pay out the one-month compensation, it makes me think twice. Despite my current employer treating me well, I feel bad for leaving in such a short notice.

Thus, we're going to attend our colleagues' weddings tomorrow. I heard that they will organise a karaoke session between the break. Inside my heart, I feel sorry and what should I do? I've to act with Happy Face like I always do. Trying to hide my feelings... It's hard to say Goodbye.. I'm gonna MISS THEM.. =(

My dad still feels the pain in his leg and has to take one week off from coaching. Hopefully he will be able to recover soon.

Pray and pray for them... I wish my parents are healthy always...

5th Day without my mum at Home

I thought my mum is going to stand up yesterday. Actually, it's not that fast.. The doctor just took out the stitches. Probably my dad said wrongly. I wonder when my mum can discharge from hospital. Wish I could visit her after working but have to take care of the house. =(

Nowadays, I felt tired easily at night. Yet, I need to put extra concentration on driving at night. May God give me the strength...

4th Day without my mum at home

My dad and brother went to visit my mum. She could sleep well last night and could take some food. Her specialist doctor advised her to stand up tomorrow. This is crucial as the success of operation depends on this moment. We kept praying for her…

When I came back from office, all the clothes were wet outside the house. I already knew my brother forgot to do it. Spoons and forks were left on the table. A few drinking cups were on the table and some in the basin without washing. It takes some time for us to familiarize the changes without my mum at home. However, my brother prepared the dinner.

It was a busy night for me. I helped my dad to coach a kid as he has leg injury. after that I picked up my brother from his tuition class at night. I'm learning to drive independently.

3rd day without my mum at home

Today is the operation day. I was in the bus to work and kept worrying my mum's operation.

I took half day leave and went to visit her with my dad. At first, she found difficulties talking to us. Her voice was bad like having sore throat. After some time, she talked to us slowly.

The operation was conducted at 7.45am and it ended at 1pm. They put anesthetic drug on her. Once she awake from the surgery, she was not feeling well. Dare not to eat or drink and just rest. Her blood pressure is very low and they gave her blood transfusion.

My dad asked her whether she could have the senses on her legs. She replied, "Yes". It is considered a good news for us. Really Thank You God that He answer our prayers. =) I started to give her some water and let her eat the food slowly.

But, we still need to pray for her fully recovery. For normal people, it would take three months to recover but for my mum's case is different. She might need a longer period due to her ill sickness. Anyway, it just a matter of time.

Her specialist doctor will be seeing her tomorrow so we hope to hear more good news from him.

2nd day without my mum at home

Just left a few hours, my mum will be undergoing the operation.

Today, we visited her at the hospital in the afternoon. She was happy and cheerful. It seems like my mum doesn't have any fear for this operation. Yet, all of us are worried. My mum told us about 5 patients who are in the same ward. A girl who is 25 years old has to put a titanium at her whole spinal as her spinal has grown till in "S" shape. She will be operated on the same day with my mum. Another old Chinese lady has to put three screw on her broken spinal. Another two ladies also have to operate her spinal. The fifth lady was quite serious as she has broken leg.

We also shared some funny and interesting stories. Before leaving, we told her to be strong and tough. Finally, I uttered the three words, "Mum, we love you."

Back to home, I cooked the mushroom chicken for dinner. For the first time, my brother made Wan Tan Mee as lunch for us. He also washed the dishes. It's glad to see him helping me to do the household chores. Hopefully he will keep it up.

Events in September

On the first day of Hari Raya (10/9), I went Genting with a group of Secondary friends. There were 13 of us-YK, KS, KY, CF, Lionel, ST, VW, MY, ML, KH, WM and WM’s son. It was organized by KSheng, KY and YK. The package is RM45 which included bus, cable car and choose either theme park or buffet. We chose Theme Park.

The weather wasn’t our day. It was cloudy and kept raining. Besides, Theme Park was crowded and packed. We’ve been queuing up for an hour and just played 30 seconds games! It’s not tired of playing but tired of waiting.

There was a happy moment. The guys kept teasing MY by shouting Fatteh when they played the games.. Haha.. All of us laughed happily. We, girls tried to shout their names but unsuccessfully.

After lunch, they were waiting this moment to claim money from Uncle Lim. Haha.. KH joined us in the afternoon. We entered Casino successfully without checking ID except Lionel. We teased him as he couldn’t clear off his nickname-Dau Kei Wong.. =p All of us didn’t have any good luck except me and Lionel who don’t gambling. They blamed for taking cable car for bring bad luck – (缆车 = 烂车 means Junk Car)

I went hiking on 25/9 with colleagues. This is my first hiking with them. I didn’t expect that I’ll join them. Somehow, I’ve to thank Eunice for convincing Mr Tan to fetch me. Hehe..

Mr Hong and Angela would meet Mr Lim and Carole at their house by going a car whereas Mr Foong and his brother sat Mr Tan’s car. Broga Hill was their chosen place. This was my second attempt.

We reached there at 5.30am. There were cars parking at the road side. Mr Foong wore a torchlight cap. I followed him behind because I needed his light to shine the path. On the way, I saw some of youngsters gave up.

When I reached the first station, I was exhausted. Carole was staying with me. However, we were able to reach second station. Mr Lim, Mr Hong and Angela were there. I heard that Foong brothers reached the third station. Wow… They were tough. The sky was dark and cloudy. Mr Lim and Mr Hong were disappointed because they brought their professional camera to catch the sun rise pictures. We have a conversation. Mr Tan asked me, “When did you come here?” “Last time and about this time,” I replied. Mr Lim added, “Consider an annual event?” We just laughed.

After hiking, I was energetic. Although I couldn’t reach the third station, it was an enjoyable trip with a group of colleagues. =) I’m looking forward to the next hiking.

1st day without my mum at home

My mum checked-in the hospital yesterday.

Before I was leaving for work, I gave her a big hug. By hugging her, my tears started rolling down my chicks. How I wish I could say, "Mummy, I LOVE YOU.." But I was afraid that she would know I was crying. I told myself that I've to be tough so I tried to dry up my tears.

Being the eldest, I've to carry out my responsibilities to take care of this family. All these years, the title "princess" has to come an end. Be mature and responsible.

I spent almost an hour in the kitchen despite my mum prepared the ingredients of tou fu pok soup. Dad and brother didn't complain the dinner as I guess they knew I was not as good as mum. Although I feel that I don't have the potential in cooking, I will try my level best. So, "Sook Yee, pls keep it up!!" =)
