Office Life

Finally, I changed my job. The company that I'm working is doing inbound tourism. It's a small company which consists of 10 people.

I'm the youngest in this family. They treated me well.. Friendly, co-operate, helpful, etc.. =) This family is a multi-racial.. chinese, malay, indian, kenyah, iban and mat salleh(guai lou).. Haha.. Sound wonderful right?

Activities at Night
One of the nights is Comedy night at Zouk Club.. Please dont misunderstood me.. It's not those clubbing place.. Just sat there and listen the comedies. I met Harif Iskandar (M'sian comedian) and his wife there!! He offered seats to us and we sat beside him.. Feeling lucky.. ^^

Sometimes we watch movies at KLCC.. So now, KLCC becomes my 2nd home.. I miss Mid Valley very much.. Haha..

Besides, we also went Karaoke K just recently. We sang from 7pm till 1am!! The next morning we came out with Panda Eyes.. @.@

A small Christmas party.. exchanged gifts, ate cakes and drank some wine.. Quite enjoyable.. I received a new bracelet. ^^

Workings
Quite challenging.. as this is a tourism company, it involves some knowledge in taxes such as Withholding Tax, Tax Resident, Exemption in Tourism, etc..

For accounting wise, it involves foreign currency rates, Euro..
The practical is different from Construction Line. Last time I learned the Construction Accounting.. Progress Billing.. Stage of completion.. Recognition of revenue is different from tourism accounting.. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up more the knowledge and gaining experience.

Ok.. That's all about my office life..
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2011!!

22nd Festival Of Sports, Singapore

This festival of sport (FOS) is held once for every two years. It was my first time to participate in this event from 5th Nov to 7th Nov.

All the games were held in Singapore Sport School, Woodlands. We were lucky to use their facilities as where the recent Youth Olympic is taken place.
On the first day, we walked around Orchard Road. The place is full of shopping complexes. This is Singaporean's favourite hang out place.

The FOS's opening ceremony was started at 7pm. There were a few contingents such as YMCA Penang, YMCA Kota Kinabalu, YMCA Taipei, YMCA Metropolitan, YMCA Singapore, YMCA Manila and YMCA KL.

Our team, YMCAKL consisted of 17 participants and we have an Iranian guy in our team. Haha.. Where should I begin to mix around? Of course, the first move is to understand my team mates. Haha..

After the dinner, we had a tour visit around Marina Bay Sand. The structural of building is unique whereby there is a sub-marine on top of the building. This sub-marine is a swimming pool and it is the highest swimming pool in the world. It has 2650 rooms. Wow... The room rate range from $400 to $ in Thousand.. Another wow.. Haha.. This Marina Bay Sand is owned by the boss of Las Vegas Casino.

The next visiting place is Melayan. The statue has a lion head and fish body. Singapore is named as White Lion (Singa in Malay). Formerly, Singapore is known as Temasik-Island surrounded with fish.

On the next day, the competitions started at 9am. Table Tennis has been scheduled to 1pm. I went to watch Badminton and give my moral support to them. We lost to Penang Team in Final.

Table Tennis Hall is more spacious compared to our Bukit Jalil Sport School. There are thirty tables and they are using Donic.

We emerged as Champion for table tennis. Honestly, not to be boost, they are not my real competitor but I enjoyed playing with them. After all, this is a friendly match. ^^

Over a dinner, Singaporean girl and I became a buddy. She is friendly and nice. She was supposed to go home after the dinner but accompany me to go shopping at Causeway. Actually, we walked and talked all the time. To my surprised, she also knows table tennis. It is too bad that I didn't have a chance to play a game with her.

Back to domitry, I went to know my room mates. Actually it was not easy to know a person who is deaf . Pen and paper are the only way to communicate with her. I also learned a few of Sign Language.

On the last day, we have a prize giving ceremony. The result of overall games is YMCAKL, the Champion. Hurray.. ^^

It's time to say "Goodbye" to each other. We will see each other in Penang in another two years time.

It's hard to say Goodbye

I'm having hard feelings.. It like a stone put on my heart.. I wish I could tell them.. Letting them know about it would probably a surprise news. Monday is D-Day and wish that day won't come by.

Wondering why I sounded so glommy? There was an interview yesterday and it went well. Just that the new co. wanted to fill up the vacancy immediately as the person will be leaving at the end of this month. That means I have to submit my resignation by next Monday and giving 24 hours notification. The new job is involving in tourism industry and I could gain more knowledge and exposure to working environment. For salary wise, it considered quite attractive. Although they agree to pay out the one-month compensation, it makes me think twice. Despite my current employer treating me well, I feel bad for leaving in such a short notice.

Thus, we're going to attend our colleagues' weddings tomorrow. I heard that they will organise a karaoke session between the break. Inside my heart, I feel sorry and what should I do? I've to act with Happy Face like I always do. Trying to hide my feelings... It's hard to say Goodbye.. I'm gonna MISS THEM.. =(

My dad still feels the pain in his leg and has to take one week off from coaching. Hopefully he will be able to recover soon.

5th Day without my mum at Home

I thought my mum is going to stand up yesterday. Actually, it's not that fast.. The doctor just took out the stitches. Probably my dad said wrongly. I wonder when my mum can discharge from hospital. Wish I could visit her after working but have to take care of the house. =(

Nowadays, I felt tired easily at night. Yet, I need to put extra concentration on driving at night. May God give me the strength...

4th Day without my mum at home

My dad and brother went to visit my mum. She could sleep well last night and could take some food. Her specialist doctor advised her to stand up tomorrow. This is crucial as the success of operation depends on this moment. We kept praying for her…

When I came back from office, all the clothes were wet outside the house. I already knew my brother forgot to do it. Spoons and forks were left on the table. A few drinking cups were on the table and some in the basin without washing. It takes some time for us to familiarize the changes without my mum at home. However, my brother prepared the dinner.

It was a busy night for me. I helped my dad to coach a kid as he has leg injury. after that I picked up my brother from his tuition class at night. I'm learning to drive independently.
