Worries.. Worries.. Worries..

I haven’t been sleeping well these days. I could say some matters are mumbling inside my thoughts when I tried to close my eyes. There are three matters occurred at the same time.

As you know, the ACCA exam days are getting closer and I’m trying to cover all my syllabus. Memorizing Tax facts and complicated of calculation and tough theory from Finance Management. All these are going to crash my head. =(

Secondly is my mum’s health is not good. She suffers back pain for a long period and couldn’t walk well. Doctor said that her bone's structure is interesting (means they have not come across with this special case). This might due to osteoporosis and her old "sickness". She need to go through the operation which is on
16th June. Doctor stated that 70% of success in this operation. It sounded like not so risky but my mum has the old sickness. What if the outcome turned out to be another way, she could not walk anymore... Haiz... I miss the days when my mum and I always go shopping together at the mall. I have to pray hard for my mum. Hopefully she can go through the operation.

Lastly is about my job. Handling new account is supposed a good news for me but it’s also sad that my senior is resigned from this company. Hopefully I can learn as much as possible.

What can I do to release my worries? EXAM..FAMILY..JOB… 3 came at one time.

Getting pressure for ACCA exam

ACCA exam is getting closer by each day.. Countdown from the date.. I only have less than 2 months.. It sounds scary to me as I lack of confident to sit for these 2 papers.. I wish something can push me harder, something to inspire me to study well.

After using up my energy in my work, I don't have the concentrated mind to study so thinking of doing revision in the morning. It works a bit but not much. I always feel sleepy and tired..

My mum started nagging me to study.. She says "No more outing.. No more TV.." -meaning I'm being grounded in the house for these two months.. House rules are implemented..!!

She also suggested to take one month leave to do my revision. But does a company approve your leave?! --> unless submit your resignation letter..

Walao.. what a huge pressure..

For my future, I know that passing ACCA is important. So what should I do? --> "Add Oil" and think about my future.. I have to tell myself, "I can DO IT..."

Friends, I need your support too. Thanks alot.. =)

Lack of Motivation :(

Recently, I found out that there is a bug inside me. It’s called LAZY BUG!!!

Eventhough I’m working, I still have to complete my ACCA course. Advanced in Financial Management is a very tough subject. It involves calculations and theories. There are many types of formulae which need MEMORIZING. In order to pass this subject, it required lots of practice in writing skills.

Since I’m working, I don’t feel like studying. Every night after working, I have to open my book. I felt sleepy and tired. Thus, I didn’t perform well for my Tax paper last sitting. Really disappointed!! T.T No longer have the motivation…. Now i understand why some people always resit the papers for a few times!!

In order to pass the subjects, I have to wake myself. TWO SUBJECTS TO GO only.. PASS ONCE and FINISH IT FOREVER.

Kill the bug for me pls!!!! H3LP M3!!!

Ang Pows

Chap Goh Mei just passed a few days ago. My bro and I always conducted “opening ceremony” ang pows. Therefore, we have done it yesterday. Haha..

When my brother started to check out each of the ang pows, he was shock and show me the packet of ang pow.

I asked him, “Is it an empty ang pow?”

He replied, “No, che. It contained big notes.” I checked the same packet of ang pows but found none. Both of us started wondering who the person is so generous. However, I couldn’t recall anything.

My mum came to interrupt our discussion and opened another ang pow which has a piece of paper. Another surprises to my bro, “Why there is 4 ekor inside this ang pow?”

After hearing what he mentioned out, I realized that the two ang pows are actually belong to me as it was my lucky draw from my company. Haha... My ang pow mixed up with my brother’s ang pow.

I was laughing non-stop. It was my mistake. Luckily, my bro was honest enough. If not, I would not realize it.

Last Day in Office Before CNY

Chinese New Year is just a few days away from now. As usual, everyone is busy doing spring cleaning, decorations, buying clothes, shoes, mandarins, etc.

My company will be closed from 12th to 17th Feb. Since today is the last day, there are special events. Firstly, two colleagues’ birthday falls on Feb so we take this opportunity to celebrate their birthday. This is my first time to order Pizza Hut delivery. Sing song, blow the candle, cut the cake….

(Pizza Hut for lunch)

(Client gave 4 boxes of cupcakes-Pretty and cute cupcakes)

For these two weeks, suppliers and subcon sent hampers and mandarins to our office. Most of the hampers have ferrore roche chocolates, bird’s nests, abalone, wine, etc.. It looks attractive. Therefore, all of us eager to have the lucky draw event. Dun worry, everyone has the opportunity to take at least one hamper home. Haha.. I don’t mind what I will get but at least I can bring something home. Hehe.. =)

After that, we have annual dinner tonight at One World Hotel, One Utama. We celebrated birthdays for the month of Feb-Simon and Charine. The food was delicious. Yummy... Hehe..

It's better to give than to receive

Most of us know how to receive things from people (Taker) but seldom give things (Giver). Is it good? Let me share this story.

A young man, a student in one of the universities, was one day taking a walk with a Professor, who was commonly called the student's friend, from his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.

As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which they supposed to belong to a poor man who was employed in a field close by, and who had nearly finished his day's work.

The student turned to the professor, saying: "Let us play the man a trick: we will hide his shoes, and conceal ourselves behind those bushes, and wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them."

"My young friend," answered the professor, "we should never amuse ourselves at the expense of the poor. But you are rich, and may give yourself a much greater pleasure by means of this poor man. Put a coin in each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how this affects him."

The student did so and they both placed themselves behind the bushes close by. The poor man soon finished his work, and came across the field to the path where he had left his coat and shoes.

While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes, but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin. Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his countenance. He gazed upon the coin, turned it around, and looked at it again and again.

He then looked around him on all sides, but no person was to be seen.

He now put the money into his pocket, and proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin.

His feelings overcame him; he fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving in which he spoke of his wife who was sick and helpless, and his children without bread, whom this timely bounty, from some unknown hand, would save from perishing.

The student stood there deeply affected, and his eyes filled with tears. "Now," said the professor, are you not much better pleased than if you had played your intended trick?"

The youth replied, "You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget. I feel now the truth of these words, which I never understood before: "It's better to give than to receive."
